NOTE: This is to inform that the acceptance of all applications including renewals under Indian Telegraph Act 1885 has been stopped for Dealer Possession License (DPL)/ Non-Dealer Possession License (NDPL) and Manufacturing Licence & Testing License. Accordingly, the Saral Sanchar Portal and National Single Window System (NSWS) will not accept any new applications for the same from 03.07.2026 onwards

The DPL (Dealer Possession License) allow entities to possess wireless equipment for business use.

The DPL is issued to authorized dealers of wireless equipment to possess, stock, and sell radio frequency devices. It is essential for companies involved in trading radio communication equipment like walkie-talkies and radio modems.

Who Can Apply

All distributors/dealers of any wireless equipment who are individuals or a company registered under Companies Act 2013.

Technical Literature
Photo, Sign and Pan of the authorised person
Application Fees of 60 Rupees
Address of premises where equipment are to kept

Currently the Dealer Possession license is issued after payment of nominal fees of Rs. 60.

Upload the signed application on saral sanchar portal alongwith all the required documents.

Application Scrutiny by WPC Wing

Police verification

Issue of LOI after all approvals are received.
